Design In Focus at Clerkenwell Design Week

Project Management

When Commercial Interiors UK (CIUK) decided to bring "Design in Focus" to Clerkenwell Design Week for the first time, they needed someone to turn an ambitious idea into a smooth, well-attended reality. That's where I came in.

Design in Focus was a brand new three-day programme of talks, panels and workshops, held at Commercial Design in the Park in the Garden of St James, running alongside Clerkenwell Design Week 2026. Created in partnership with CIUK's media outlet, Design Insider, it brought together suppliers to the contract furnishing sector, designers, specifiers, operators and industry leaders across seven engaging and thought-provoking sessions, covering everything from hospitality-inspired workspaces to sustainable fixtures and fittings.

I project managed the event from planning through to delivery, working closely with Alys Bryan, Editorial and Marketing Director at Design Insider, the wider CIUK team. and the organisers of Clerkenwell Design Week, Media10.

Coordinating timelines, suppliers and stakeholders across CIUK and Media10 to get all seven sessions delivered smoothly over the three days. I organised hospitality, moderators and panellists, guests and partners were well looked after throughout, and worked on brand promotion to make sure Design in Focus and CIUK were represented clearly and consistently across the event.

I supported the marketing campaign in the run up to Clerkenwell Design Week and through the event itself, and worked directly with the CIUK members who were hosting sessions, helping them promote their slots and maximise attendance. I also arranged photography so CIUK and Design Insider had strong imagery to use to promote it in 2027, plus the many smaller logistics that go into pulling a three-day event together: signage, timings, on-the-day problem solving, and everything in between. It was CIUK's first time delivering an event in this format, and it paid off... Design in Focus will return in 2027!

GTA Interior

Social Media Management

GTA Interior is a leading office fit-out and workplace design company, delivering workplace analysis, design, fit out and furniture solutions for landlords and commercial occupiers across the UK and internationally. With over 25 years in the industry and a reputation built on being dedicated, trusted and innovative, they needed their social media presence to reflect the same quality as their projects. Since the end of 2022, I've been their social media manager, helping them do exactly that.

My brief was to raise GTA's profile on their primary platform, LinkedIn along with Instagram, to drive traffic to their website, and build brand awareness through a strategic, consistent social media campaign. That meant getting to know the business properly: how they work with clients, what makes their team-first culture tick, and the kind of projects they're proudest of.

A big part of the work has been showcasing their case studies, giving completed fit outs and design projects a life beyond the client handover, and helping potential clients see the quality and range of GTA's work first hand. Alongside this, I've focused on bringing their culture to the surface: the people behind the projects, the dedicated teams clients work with throughout, and the day to day of a business that takes real pride in its people, not just its portfolio.

Since I started working with GTA, their LinkedIn following has grown to over 4,000, built through consistent, purposeful content rather than short-term tactics. That growth has gone hand in hand with more engagement, more traffic back to the website, and a stronger, more recognisable presence for GTA within the workplace design sector.

Working with GTA is genuine partnership. They are one of my longest serving clients and over the years we've built a good, honest working relationship. As their business has grown and evolved, so has the social media strategy alongside it, and I'd like to think we've grown and developed together rather than me simply managing a static brief.
